Several products sold on vitcher.com — including gazebos, pergolas, outdoor storage sheds, and deck boxes — are oversized or heavy and require freight shipping rather than standard parcel delivery. This page explains how freight shipping works, what to expect at delivery, and what to do if something goes wrong.

What Is Freight Shipping?

Freight shipping is used for oversized or heavy items that cannot be shipped through standard parcel carriers such as UPS or FedEx. A freight carrier transports these items by truck and delivers them directly to your address, ensuring they arrive safely and intact.

Which Products Require Freight Shipping?

The following product types typically ship by freight. If an item requires freight shipping, it will be noted on the product listing:

  • Gazebos
  • Pergolas
  • Outdoor storage sheds
  • Deck boxes (oversized)
  • Any other large or heavy outdoor structures

Is Freight Shipping Free?

Yes. Free shipping applies to all US orders, including freight items. There are no hidden fees or surcharges for oversized products.

How Long Does Freight Delivery Take?

Freight orders typically arrive within 3–7 business days after processing. Orders are processed within 1 business day, Monday through Friday. Delivery times may vary depending on your location and the freight carrier assigned to your shipment.

How Does Freight Delivery Work?

Freight delivery differs from standard parcel delivery. Here is what to expect:

  • Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number by email
  • The freight carrier will contact you by phone to schedule a delivery appointment
  • You must be present at the delivery address to receive the shipment
  • The driver will deliver the item to your curb or driveway — not inside your home or garage
  • Please inspect the packaging carefully before signing the delivery receipt

What to Do When Your Freight Order Arrives

Before signing for your delivery, take the following steps:

  • Inspect all packaging for visible damage before the driver leaves
  • If you find any damage, note it clearly on the delivery receipt before signing
  • Photograph any damage immediately, including the packaging and the item
  • Contact us at Contact@vitcher.com with your order number and photos

⚠️ Important: Signing for a delivery without noting visible damage may make it difficult to file a claim afterward. Always inspect the shipment before you sign.

What If My Freight Order Arrives Damaged?

If your item arrives damaged, contact us immediately:

  • Email Contact@vitcher.com with your order number and photos of the damage
  • Do not attempt to assemble a damaged product
  • We will arrange a replacement or issue a full refund at no cost to you

Can I Track My Freight Order?

Yes. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number by email. You can use this number to track your shipment on the freight carrier's website. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking information to appear after your order ships.

What If No One Is Home During Delivery?

Freight deliveries require someone to be present to receive the shipment. Please ensure you are available during the scheduled delivery window. If you miss your appointment, the carrier may charge a redelivery fee. Contact us as soon as possible at Contact@vitcher.com or +1 (712) 217-4726 if you need to reschedule.

Do You Offer International Freight Shipping?

No. All freight shipments are within the contiguous United States only. We do not currently offer international freight shipping.
